Analysis of very Fast Transient over Voltages in GIS

Abstract


In GIS installations, the relationship to the transformer is given via each SF6 / air bushing or SF6 / oil bushing. The voltage distribution beneath very rapid transients may be mainly non-linear due to having frequency additives inside the sort of one hundred MHz and above. Further, the continuous software of these oscillating, a periodic over voltages to the capacitive graded bushing might also motive discharges inside the bushing, which can also step by step degrade its insulation electricity. The voltage distribution across diverse layers of the capacitive graded bushing has been predicted thru representing the layers as an equivalent multi-level ∏ sections with PSpice.
