Abstract

A quite large number of existing glass materials contain nanostructures and essentially are nanomaterials. A grouping of the nanostructures saw in glasses is given. The nanolevel structure of certain known glass materials is portrayed, and their properties which are because of the nearness of a nanophase are displayed. Certain glass-based nanocomposites which are obtained today are identified.
