Android Based System to Control Devices Wirelessly using Bluetooth Link

Deepali Kothari, Arun Parakh

Abstract

This work presents a prototype of a hassle-free communication medium using emerging technologies. We are trying to communicate with remote devices which are physically tedious to approach. In this prototype, we suggest a novel method with number of advantages like low running cost, interactive, real time communication and reliable. It includes the application of low power high speed microcontrollers, reliable and low cost communication protocol Bluetooth and open source and widely accepted Android platform. Our proposed model can control field devices wirelessly over a Bluetooth link and can read analog input signal from a sensor and sends it to Android device over the Bluetooth link. The Android application has user interface to display value of analog input received from the sensor.
